Material - Characteristics
Iron powder with the addition of copper, nickel and molybdenium, which enhance both the high temperature strength and the resistance to scaling, forms the basis of the metal matrix.
Furthermore a solid lubricant (99,9% pure, chemical neutral electro- graphite) is enclosed pre-loaded in micro distribution.
The alloy makes a quick, self-lubricating performance possible through the building-up of a firmly adhering graphite film on the mating material.

In order to achieve ideal sliding and wearing properties, machine-building steel should be used, which is resistant to both deformation at elevated temperatures and scaling and which has a surface hardness of at least 45 HRC (in cold condition).
